‘ Skin Care’

Sun tan lotions are out of the picture now as Winter has just started. For us women our skin is the most important to us and no matter what we try so many products on our skin.

In this case ‘You can’t control the weather….but you can control your skin’

The most important rule is not to use hot water to wash your face which includes showers and bath in hot water even in such cold weathers it still a big NO, as heat pulls the natural oils out of your skin. Use lukewarm water.

Make sure you use a good emollient rich soap and cleanser so that it removes the dirt from your skin and keeps it moist.

Apply a good moisturising cream soon as you get out of the shower or even after washing your face while your skin is still damp. This will keep your skin in good condition throughout the day.

Keep an eye on what you eat and drink. That effects the internal part of the skin

Make sure when you shop for makeup see what your skin type really is in what weather. Sometimes your skin can change in certain seasons. Its nothing to be embarrassed about because all have the same problem, you can ask the qualified staff for advice when looking for the products or even makeup.

There are so many different types of foundations and its hard to find the right one good for your skin and the same skin tone. Always test on hands of have someone to test it on the bottom of your ear as a small patch test.

Use a sponge to apply your foundation for the best control and blending. Apply a pea-sized amount of foundation to the sponge and dab it onto your skin where necessary (such as over blemishes and uneven pigmentation). Apply a second coat only if you want more coverage. And remember to replace your sponge every two weeks to prevent bacteria build up.

Us girls have a thing for practising how to apply makeup at home even if its just for the fun of it. Practise makes perfect and with that you know which colours and shades look good on your skin.
