| Are you a total stress head?! Don’t get mad, get
on an even heel, You’ll feel a whole lot calmer in no
time at all! Now remember breathe..

Here’s a few Stress Busting Tips
- Get on your own personal holiday,
(inside the confines of your noggin, of course!) Think
of your favourite place, somewhere you feel safe and
relaxed. It could be in your cosy bed listening to the
rain lash down outside, lying on the beach or even catching
40 winks in front of an open fire. Wherever works for
you, close your eyes, take a deep breath and “Feel”
that you’re really there.

- Keep a bottle of lavender oil in your
handbag or pencil case. The minute you feel your blood
pressure start to rise, open the lid and waft some of
the scent towards your nose. It has tones of natural
relaxant properties, is good for anxiety, insomnia,
balancing emotions, tension and is known to relieve
headaches.

- Release all the built up tension in
your body by roaring like a monster. Scrunch up your
face, squeeze your limbs tight and scream your head
off (Just make sure you’re home alone Lol) Once all
the tension has been released, shake out your shoulders
and take a deep breath, if you aren’t laughing your
head off having caught sight of your reflection in the
mirror, that is.

- Keep fresh flowers nearby, if you
get headaches whenever you study, pick a bunch of daisies
or get your mitts on a plant, and keep them by your
desk. Not only will the scent and colour perk up your
senses but they symbolise life and beauty which will
subconsciously make you happy to be alive.

- Meditate on every breath for 10 minutes
(Not five seconds!!) When you breath in, feel the air
travelling down through your bronchial tubes and filling
up your lungs. Hold it for a sec, and then allow your
shoulders to fall downwards as you exhale. Repeat until
your mind clear of there those woes.

- If your ‘re trying to study and you’re
getting absolutely nowhere, go stretch your legs. Give
yourself a five minute time limit an get your bum outside
and clear your head with some deep gulps of cold fresh
air!
- Turn on some of your favourite tunes,
Whatever song gets your booty on the dance floor has
the power to elevate your mood at four o’clock on a
Tuesday afternoon too, ya know?! So turn it on, turn
it up and don’t be afraid to have a little boogie. All
in the name of good mental of course.

- Give yourself a steam facial. Boil
the kettle, fill a basin with hot water and (Carefully!!)
throw a towel over the back of your head and lower your
face over the bowl ‘till your facing a steamy paradise.
You’ll breathe a lot easier.
- Take A long, hot shower.
The natural rhythmic pounding on your head stimulates
the tired brain cells and can literally get you into
a new “head space”.
