in December 2003. A true sensation had arrived
on the International music scene and his self-titled
album hit #1 in UK and India, becoming the
biggest selling debut Bhangra album worldwide

in the Elite league of Bhangra superstars!

Inspired by the late great martial arts legend
Bruce Lee, Mehsopuria had these exclusive
album cover images taken in late 2005 after
seeing rare pictures of the legendary Bruce
Lee in a Samurai look. Again this shows the
artistic angle and inspiration Mehsopuria
draws from his childhood into his creative
image.
The title Warrior was chosen by Mehsopuria
and explained in these words: “The word ‘Warrior’
is a title my ancestors have in my village,
the elder people refer to me as the great
grandson of the ‘Warrior’s’. I remember being
told a true story as a kid about how my Granddad
was the only one in Mehsumpur village to take
a Muslim family from the village to the border
at the time of 1947 India/Pakistan partition.
He took a friend with him and risked his life,
as they could have been attacked or killed
on their way. It showed his love for people
as humans. He was a real Warrior!” – Quote
