KUNDRA – ‘LOVE THING’
After the huge success of his
debut number 1 hit single „Tukde Tukde? and
follow up „Zinda Hoon?, Navin Kundra is back
with his new single „Love Thing?. An energetic
mash up of English, Punjabi and Hindi (thanks
to India?s nightingale Lata Mangeshkar), „Love
Thing? is set to storm the music scene this
year. Co-written and produced by super producer
Mushtaq, „Love Thing? is sure to blow up across
the media and clubs worldwide.
Now under management by Nyrone
from N1 Management, the manager responsible
for launching Raghav?s career, Navin is working
on developing a new sound and experimenting
with different musical styles for his solo project.
“It?s been really exciting so far and I feel
that I?ve learnt a lot and developed much more
as an artist. „Love Thing? is very different
to „Tukde Tukde? and my forthcoming tracks are
different from each other too, but they?re all
rooted in capturing the essence of Indian music
with a contemporary feel.” Talking further about
his solo project, Navin explains that he is
trying to create an album which is musically
diverse and allows him to showcase his versatility
as a singer, whilst still keeping the sound
contemporary with commercial appeal. “Working
with different talented producers like Mushtaq
has really helped broaden my knowledge of different
musical styles and having now been exposed to
that, I would love to bring as much of it together
as I can! Obviously I can?t do it all on my
debut record, but I can surely make a start…”
When asked how it feels to
now have a manager looking after his career,
Navin replies, “It?s great! Nyrone is someone
who I have a lot of respect for and I have known
him since I won BBC Asian Network Unsung back
in 2005, for which he was one of the judges.
Since then we stayed in touch and now we?re
working together. It allows me to focus on being
creative as an artist, whereas before I was
trying to manage everything myself!”
“Love Thing” is currently
being played on radio nationwide and will be
available for download on iTunes imminently.
The music video is scheduled to be shot during
August and over the coming months, Navin will
be performing live nationwide and internationally.
