Work Hard, Play Hard

As the old saying goes, work hard, play hard, I think we all know it’s easier said than done! Trying to balance the demands of school work and the enjoyment of our social life is not as simple as it sounds. Whether it be being away at university and only you calling the shots, or living at home and saying five more minutes on your new Wii, it’s hard to resist the temptations that pull you away from your work.

Finding the right balance between your work and social life is the best thing you’ll ever do for yourself. It will not only save you alot of hassle and grief, but also marks and I don’t think anyone will complain about improving their marks. Sometimes we all just need to sit back and relax, but before any of that we need to get the work done first.

Ways to Stay Focused to Finish Your Work

• Organize Yourself
o Set yourself deadlines, and write down all the work that you have to complete

• Set Goals For Yourself
o If you set yourself goals, you’ll have something to look forward to, and be more determined to finish your work.

• Unclog Your Brain
o If your worrying about other things, there’s no way you’ll be focused on your work

I`m not saying you shouldn`t have a social life; just make sure your getting your work done first, which is your first priority (well it should be). We all need some relaxation time, but school comes first!
