Tell us abit about the film and your
character??
My role is that of a playboy bachelor called
Aroush, who enjoys a carefree, party lifestyle
with his two roommates (played by Fardeen
Khan and Riteish Deshmukh). Their lives are
turned upside down with the arrival of a baby
on their doorstep.
How was it working with Fardeen and
Ritesh?
It was a real pleasure. They are both great
actors, with huge personalities, which made
it so much fun both on and off set.
How was Sajid Khan as a director?
Again, he is a hugely talented director, who
brings such a fresh perspective to the Indian
film industry. His ideas, his vision, and
how he realises that on screen, is a wonderful
phenomenon.
The promos make this looks very similar
to a particular hollywood movie..is it different?
Yes, it’s completely different. Although inspired
by the Hollywood movie, Three Men and a Baby
(which was itself inspired by an earlier French
film), the plot line and treatment of the
subject matter, has been given that totally
distinctive Bollywood re-invention.
What will the audiences be expecting
from this film apart from loads of comedy??
Lots of warmth for the soul. It’s also a very
endearing portrayal of relationships, human
emotions and ties. I have faith that audiences
who go see this film will leave the theater
with a smile on their faces and a warmth in
their hearts.
Tell us a bit about the music of
the film?
It’s got a great soundtrack – very upbeat
and catchy, blending the more traditional
beats of tracks like Dholna, with the more
modern tracks such as the theme tune. All
very memorable and loveable for their own
distinctive musical qualities.
Which is your personal fav?
All of them… for different reasons.
Was it a challange for you acting
around a baby?
Not at all. Being a very proud father myself,
I was used to the tantrums and tears. And
that was just Fardeen and Riteish! Only joking!
What are your forthcoming releases?
Bhool Bulaiyaa, a psychological thriller,
also starring Vidya Balan, and the Yash Raj
release, Tashan. Also, another comedy called
Welcome.
